Delivery of Prescription

Delivering healthcare to your door

Delivering healthcare to your door

Want to save time and hassle when it comes to getting hold of your prescriptions?

We know life is already busy enough, which is why our pharmacies may be able to offer you a prescription delivery service.

Pop into your local Whitworth Pharmacy or give us a ring to discuss prescription delivery.

Most prescriptions will take up to 48 hours from when you request it from your prescriber to arriving back in the pharmacy. However, this can vary depending on your GP surgery and may be longer. The time it takes to dispense and arrange for delivery will depend on how busy the schedule is and our pharmacy’s capacity.

When we have a confirmed delivery date, we will send you an email notification so you know when to expect your medicines. We will also send you a reminder of the delivery date and let you know when it has been delivered.

Your GP surgery must be able to provide electronic prescriptions for you to take advantage of the prescription delivery service.

  • Our driver will attempt to deliver your medication once. If you know you are not going to be in, please ring the pharmacy to arrange a day and time when you will be home.

If for any reason you miss your delivery, we will leave a card to let you know that we have tried to deliver it. When you receive our card, please ring the pharmacy to arrange the collection of your medicines. If you would prefer to get your medicines when you are not home, you will need to ensure that it will be delivered in a safe place until you can get it. We will need your email address for this service to keep in contact.
